Today is now.
My future is now.
My right now is because of
my previous nows.
The things I did.
The things I said.
The choices I made.
The paths I took
and the paths I didn’t.
The people I connected with.
The people I missed connecting with.
The people I lost connection with.
The people I dream of connecting with.
In this moment, this now,
an opportunity is lost
and an opportunity presents itself.
I can’t take all the paths in front of me.
I can only explore one or two at a time.
That exploration is a gift.
The gift of life.
It’s in exploring that we find things we love.
It’s in exploring that we see things …
things other people don’t get a chance to see.
Part of that exploration is taking time
to appreciate what we see.
What we learn.
The mistakes we make.
The seconds of joy we experience.
The hours of turmoil we endure.
Exploration is an expression of curiosity.
Curiosity is an expression of creativity.
And creativity is what gives us life.
If we don’t create, we merely exist.
